Sassari está 8-2 en la Lega Uno, 5-0 cubriendo el handicap como visitante, con una victoria reseñable en Milano el domingo (80-86), pero no han demostrado su calidad en la Eurocup, donde han perdido ambas salidas por amplios márgenes, 88-75 en Orleans y 116-104 en Crvena Zvezda. Su única victoria fue como local, ante Cajasol 87-84. Los españoles están 2-2 gracias a dos victorias ante Orleans, pero en ACB están 1-9, mejorando pero no lo suficiente para ganar partidos. Esto es muerte súbita, el que gane lo tendrá casi hecho para pasar ronda, el Cajasol automáticamente, Sassari dependiendo de sí mismos ganando a Orleans en Cerdeña en la última jornada. Teniendo en cuenta que los visitantes tienen mejor calidad en la plantilla y que los locales tienen muchos jóvenes inexpertos, creo que este partido está al 50/50, así que hay claro valor en Sassari a cuotas iguales o superiores a 2.50.

Their only win came at home, beating Cajasol 87-84. The Spanish have gone 2-2 thanks to 2 wins against Orleans, but in the Spanish ACB they are 1-9, showing improvement but not enough to win matches. This is sudden death, whoever wins has the qualification in their hands, Cajasol directly, Sassari would need to beat Orleans in Sardinia in the final match. Bearing in mind the visitors have a better quality roster and that the home team has too many young and unexperienced players, I find this match is at least 50/50, so there is clear value in Sassari at odds higher than 2.50.

5º partido del grupo A, donde el Krka depende de sí mismo para pasar ronda, siempre que ganen los 2 partidos que quedan, ambos a disputarse como locales. Entre Eurochallenge y Liga Adriática, Krka sólo ha perdido 1 de los 7 partidos como local. Pinar ya está matemáticamente en la siguiente ronda, con 4-0 y el basket average ganado contra sus paisanos del Tofas (2-2). Para que el Pinar mantenga la 1ª plaza no puede perder por más de 23 pts. (Pinar ganó en Turquía 76-53 al Krka). Con todo esto en mente, y con el importante compromiso en casa el domingo de la Liga Turca TBL, cuando reciben al líder invicto Galatsaray, espero ver al Krka ganar con cierta comodidad (6-7 pts mínimo). El Handicap es válido hasta -3.5.

With all that in mind, and with the imminent important TBL Turkish league match at home on Sunday against unbeaten leader Galatasaray, I expect Krka to win by a comfortable margin (6-7 points minimum). Tras un extraño e irregular comienzo, Bayern echando a Bauermann apenas empezada la temporada y algunos jugadores indisciplinados, the Director General, Marko Pesic, ha decidido llamar a su padre, el actual seleccionador alemán y famoso ganador de la Euroliga Svetislav Pesic, para tomar el mando. Lo que sabemos del Bayern es que tienen un equipo de calidad, y que rinden en defensa, pero erráticos en ataque, y Pesic es conocido por su disciplina y trabajo en equipo. Visitan al Alba Berlín, que ha bajado prestaciones en ataque tras un inicio fulgurante, y parece que la combinación Beko BBL más Euroliga semanal les está afectando en frescura de ataque. Sin embargo, mantienen una regularidad en defensa. Espero un partido lento y táctico entre Obradovic (Alba) y Pesic (Bayern), algo que oscile entre los 138-142 pts.
After a very strange and irregular start, Bayern sacking Bauermann at the beggining of the season, and some players not disciplined, the General Manager, Marko Pesic, has decided to call his father, current German National coach and famous Euroleague winner Svetislav Pesic, to take command. What we know about Bayern is that they have a quality roster, and they have been good in defense, but erratic in offense, and Pesic is known to be a coach who works hard with discipline and team effort. They visit Alba Berlin, who have dropped their offense a lot since an explosive start of the season, seems that the combination of Beko BBL & Euroleague is affecting their freshness when facing rival's basket. On the other hand, their defense is being of a constant quality. I expect a slow and tactician match between Obradovic (Alba) and Pesic (Bayern), something between 138-142 points total.

Pesaro ha caído en una terrible racha negativa de estado de forma, la semana pasada perdiendo en casa ante el débil Caserta, y hace que fuera la 6ª derrota consecutiva, con diferencias iguales o mayores a los 10 puntos en los últimos 5. Visitan la siempre difícil cancha del Bologna, que aún perdiendo jugadores de calidad del año pasado (Douglas Roberts, Koponen), se siguen manteniendo sólidos como locales, donde están 3-1 (y 3-1 ATS, HA cubiertos). Con el escenario presente del visitante y la dureza de los locales en su casa, espero ver al Bologna ganar mínimo por la decena de margen.
Pesaro have fallen in an awful slump of form, last week losing clearly at home against low team Caserta, and that is the 6th loss in a row, with margins higher than 10 points in the last 5. They travel to an always difficult stadium in Bologna, who have lost many quality players from last season (Douglas Roberts, Koponen), but they are keeping strong at home, where they are 3-1 (3-1 also ATS). With the current scenario with the visitors and the strong home team, I expect Bologna to win by the double digit figures as a minimum.

Jay Cutler ha vuelto, y con él, Chicago es el equipo casi perfecto en casa. Seattle es muy flojo como visitante, y más su ataque ante una de las mejores defensas de la NFL.

Detroit ha dado carpetazo a la temporada, sin opciones lógicas de play off, mientras que Indianapolis está rindiendo a un nivel extraordinario, metidos de lleno en la lucha por plaza de play off.

Denver es una máquina casi perfecta en casa con Peyton Manning comandando una ofensiva prolífica, mientras que Tampa Bay está dando espectáculo en marcadores, buen ataque y defensa blanda.

Jay Cutler is back, and with him, Chicago is an almost perfect team at home. Seattle is weak on the road, especially their offense against one of the best defenses in NFL.

Detroit can close off the season, without logical options to play off, while Indianapolis is doing an extraordinary season, fighting to get a spot in the play offs.

Denver is almost a perfect machine at home, with Peyton Manning commanding a productive offense, while Tampa Bay is always giving a show in scores, good offense and soft defense.

Uno de los equipos más en forma de la ACB, Bilbao (7-2), recibe a uno, Manresa (1-8), que la semana pasada logró estrenarse en victorias esta temporada. Manresa es un equipo muy frágil en defensa, fuera y en casa, pero su ataque se debilita muchísimo como visitante. Bilbao tiene un ataque decente, pero ha sido su defensa la que les ha aupado a lo más alto de la ACB (y 4-0 en Eurocup), la que Fotis Katsikaris ha estado insistiendo desde la pretemporada, y los jugadores lo están haciendo de maravilla. Desde su derrota 98-84 en Real Madrid, en los últimos 5 partidos, el Bilbao ha sido capaz de mantener a sus rivales por debajo de los 70 puntos en 4 de ellos (sólo un 83-86 en Fuenlabrada), y creo que el Bilbao no anotará más de 85 pts., debido a su hábito de ralentizar partidos cuando tienen una cómoda ventaja de 10 o +, como se presupone va a ocurrir esta tarde con el débil Manresa. Espero que este partido tenga un máximo que ronde los 147-150 pts.
One of the top teams of the ACB Spanish League, Bilbao (7-2), hosts a team, Manresa (1-8) that last week managed to win their first match of the season. Manresa is a very light defense team all round, at home and away, but their offense is awful when on road matches. Bilbao have a decent attack, but what has made them go high in the Spanish League (and 4-0 in Eurocup) is the defensive effort, their coach Fotis Katsikaris has been insisting on this issue since the preseason, and the players are doing a great job. Since a heavy defeat at Real Madrid 98-84, in the last 5 matches Bilbao has played, between Eurocup & ACB, only one of its rivals has managed to pass the 70 points' mark (at Fuenlabrada 83-86), and I reckon that Bilbao will not score more than 85 points, due to their habbit of slowing games down when they are ahead by 10+ points, like it seems to be the scenario this afternoon against low team like Manresa. I expect this game to reach a maximum bracket of 147-150 points.

Combinada de favoritos locales que me parecen superiores a sus rivales, aunque prefiero amarrar líneas de handicap más bajas que las que hay propuestas. Valladolid está realizando una campaña extraordinaria, mientras que Fuenlabrada sufre mucho a domicilio, sobre todo con su pésimo ataque. Limoges ha salido del bache donde estaba inmerso, con 2 victorias seguidas, e intentarán hacerse fuertes en casa, donde están 1-3, ante un Le Havre muy débil como visitante, y con poco poder anotador para superar la defensa de los locales.

Acca of home team favourites that I find are quite superior to their opponents, but I prefer to wrap them up in a teaser, rathen than the market handicap lines. Valladolid are doing a great season, Fuenlabrada suffer on the road, especially with an awful offense. Limoges managed to get back on the winning, with 2 on the row, and will try to make their home a strong place, where they are 1-3, they host modest Le Havre, who are a weak team on the road, and with a bad offense to threaten the very good home defensive skills.
